We were tasked with developing a prototype for a skate park finder app located in Auckland City, this will all be created in Adobe XD. We worked in a group to develop this and each were given tasks to complete over the assignment period.

Auckland has up to 80 skateparks, and sometimes it can be a challenge to find them. Websites like skatepark hunter and google maps can be quite helpful, but they don’t always show to correct location and do not provide much of useful Information about the exact park and facilities around. We want to provide everything skaters need to know in one app that will not only list skate parks but also provide information about accessibility options for each pack, nearest hospitals, a useful tip for the equipment, facilities around, cycling routes that skateboards can ride on, and skating events.

I was in charge of creating the home screen and skatepark finding aspects of the prototype, here are the pages I created.

The apps goal was to show users local skateparks and then be able to get directions to that park and facilities such as toilets or medical centres. Users could also have the option to find local events and news about skating.
